ACTUAL CASE RESULTS

$7.5 million dollar verdict: The canine officer complained to the department about being sexually harassed by her sergeant. After she complained, a 20 year veteran of the department with exceptional reviews became the target of retaliation by her lieutenant. Her schedule was abruptly changed all the time, she was sent for “retraining” even though she had no need for any additional training, and she was attacked by a fellow officer’s police dog during a training exercise. The jury believed this attack occurred as a result of retaliation against her for filing a lawsuit related to her treatment. Ultimately, our client was terminated from her position and, against department policy, her canine was sold to another person.

$133,753 verdict: Our client was raped in jail because the guards left the jail doors unlocked. We were in a very unfavorable jurisdiction and were brought in merely to try the case after another attorney determined that this trial was “over his head.”

$100,000 settlement: Our client was a long-term employee of the company who was subjected to constant and egregious acts of racial discrimination. After reporting the discrimination, she was terminated.

$250,000 settlement: Our client was a long-time employee of a company and was a flight attendant on the corporate jet. She was subjected to nearly constant sexual harassment by one of the pilots that she routinely worked with. After reporting the pilot’s behavior to the company’s CEO, she was terminated despite an exceptional record at the company.

$85,000 settlement: Our client was the city clerk of a local municipality. After complaining to the Missouri Attorney General’s office that the city counsel was holding “closed” meetings whereby city matters were discussed without the public’s input, our client was terminated in violation of Missouri’s Sunshine Law. She was a long-term employee and was so well respected in the community that she ultimately became mayor of the city that terminated her.

$85,000 settlement: Our client worked as a medical technician at a company. Her direct supervisor constantly sexually harassed her and threatened that, if she went to HR, he would seriously harm her. She reported the supervisor’s conduct to HR and was terminated from her position despite strong evidence that she was an excellent employee.
